Test IR software

Is the a software package that allows a USB-Uirt to be excersisied? It would be nice to be able to confirm the USB -Uirt is functional both as a TX and RX.

Does any software exist?

You could try xPL as its got a plugin and its free ......I actually use the usbuirt to test my hardware ...and i use it to trigger some cbus lighting control etc...

Jon Rhees has written a small application to test the basic functionality of the USB-UIRT. It allows you to see if IR can be received, learned and transmitted:

If you want to do a bit more with your USB-UIRT, you can take a look at EventGhost:
