USBIRT not working with an unlisted device?

I have a scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200 digital cable box and cannot get through the test phase it states I am not pointing the device to the unit. I tried everything. My device is unlisted So I selected unlisted device and followed the steps I cannot get the testing phase to work. Thanks
