Microsoft MCE Keyboard and USB-UIRT, is that possible??

Postby marteken » Thu Apr 06, 2006 3:45 am

Hi, I recently buy the microsoft 3 in 1 remote, mouse and keyboard (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 4639632946).

In the box of the keyboard it says, "you need the mce receiver for the keyboard to work".

I own a usb-uirt, but since im on vacation, i'm unable to test this keyboard.

Does anybody know if with usbuirt the keyboard and mouse will work??

I know that with girder I can program some controls, but I dont think I could program the mouse.

Let me know please, so I dont have to muy the mce reciver and remote control (they doesnt sell separately).

Thanks.

Martin,

This, unfortunately, will not work. While the USB-UIRT will see codes from the MCE remote (you would still need an app to respond to those codes) it will not likely see anything useful from the keyboard, which uses a proprietary signal set.
