Hi,

my test machine is a Asus K8N-E Deluxe board. I've got wake from Standby (S3) working fine.

For a new machine, I'm looking at possibilities to wake up from actual power off (S4). I'm looking at an Asus A8N-VM CSM board for the new box, and the board manual mentions the possibility that USB device can wake up from S4. However, I like to belive it when I see it -- does anyone have wakeup from power off successfully working?

Initial results: Same results with the A8N-VM CSM. Wake from S3 works, from S4 doesn't.

Since the Asus manual explicitely mentions wake-up from S4 for USB when describing the +5V/+5VSB jumper selection, I've now opened a call with Asus' tech support.

Got a reply:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.

My name is ZYC and I would be assisting you today.

Sir ,please enter device manager ,

try to find that USB device,

enter its property setting --power managment page ,

there will be an option allow you enable the device wakeup from standby mode ,

please enable that option for a test .

Although I kind of think that this is a misunderstanding -- I explicitely stated that wake from S3 works just fine -- I'm kind of wondering why I don't have this option available for neither the USB-UIRT nor for the logitech RF receiver also connected to the box. Hm.
