Zone 1 or 2 (Back Stereo Jack) - Incoming IR possible?

Is it possible to use zone 1 or zone 2 (on the back stereo plug) as an IR RECIEVER (rather than as an emmitter)?

Unfortunately no. It was only designed for connection to IR emitters.
