Remote 2 Key - possible open-source alternative to Girder

Remote 2 Key converts IR Codes from your USB-UIRT into key strokes and passes them to one or more applications of your choice, using customizable mapping files.

I used Remote 2 Key to circumvent a bug in GB-PVR's usb-uirt plugin. Just tell it which button on your remote maps to which GBPVR keystroke.

Besides GBPVR, It can be used to control most any application that doesn't directly support the USB-UIRT.
