Additional Receiver Diode
Posted: Mon Aug 08, 2005 5:19 pmI have owned my uirt for a few months now and I am just starting to get around to installing it. I noticed that the 1/8in jack seems to only support the emitter diodes. Is there a way to add a second receiver diode to the circuit. I am handy with a soldering IRON so putting a connector to allow me to add a second wouldnt be hard for me. Question is will the Uirt still function properly afterwards.
The situation I am having right now is that I want to have an emmiter and receiver in my bedroom two floors above my basement where the Uirt is located. I am using Charmed Quark Controller(CQC) to control my Z-wave lights with an IR remote. It works well in the basement but not sure If I will be able to get it to work in my bedroom.
