Hi All,

I want to do some testing on a new (to me) box that will be my htpc in my equipment rack. I have 1 USB UIRT and was wondering if you could split the USB connection to 2 PC's, have girder on both and seperate IR codes to control both PC's from the one USB UIRT...is this possible? I have BTV on the main PC and it is used to much (always recording something) to move the USB UIRT from it at this time but if I could share it with the computers that would be great.

Kevin,

The only way you can have the USB-UIRT on one PC and have it also receive codes and control the other PC is by doing something like having Girder on both PC's, having Girder on the old PC talk to the USB-UIRT, and when Girder receives an IR event, have a script that sends that event (via your network) to the other PC's Girder via a girder network/TCP-IP plugin.

Thanks Jon,

I will look for the plugin and see if that will work...
