compatible dimmers

Hi guys:
I am feeling pretty certain my current dimmer is not compatible wth USBUIRT. I've tried what feels like everything. I'm using girder and the USBUIRT sees the response from the ir controller, but there is no event string. My sony learning remote learned the codes just fine. My question is: Is there a compatible dimmer with ir control for lighting that is USBUIRT friendly within Girder? I'm looking for something like the smarthome series that has scenes, delays, etc. It claims to be x10 friendly, so does this help?
