Do IR Headphones Interfere With USB-UIRT?

Postby trudge » Thu Apr 17, 2008 3:39 am

I have been contemplating the purchase of some rather expensive infrared wireless headphones (Pioneer SE-DIR800C) for my HTPC system.

It occurred to me that the IR signal used by the headphones could possibly be picked up by my USB-UIRT. Although concurrent use of the headphones and the USB-UIRT would not really be required, if the headphones cause constant flicker of the red led on the USB-UIRT it would be too annoying to consider feasible.
I am not familiar enough with the different types of IR signal (FIR, SIR, irDA, etc.) to determine if this would be a likely issue. My USB-UIRT does have the 56 kHz sensor.

Anyone have any experience with this?
