I need some advise on my complex setup

4 direct tv receivers (they are all the same), JVC DVD, Sony DVD, Sony Receiver, JVC receiver, these are all located in the same closet. I have 8 zones that I would like to control each of these devices from.
My thoughts are this.
Zones 1-4 will communicate IR -> RF to RF –IR to the USB-UIRT.
I am thinking of using a standard IR to RF converter.
Zones 5-8 will be hard wired to the USB-UIRT meaning each zone will need a detector.
I am thinking of using a xantech product that will collect all the detectors and send it to one IR emitter this can then go to the USB-UIRT.
Now comes the difficult part. Using Girder I would like to control each direct tv receiver independently. I think I would need 5 IR emitters. 4 to go to each of the direct tv receivers independently and one to go to all the other equipment.
I am thinking that I can do this with Girder and two USB-UIRTs but wanted to be sure before I purchased anything.
