Can USB-UIRT be used with IRClone?

Postby sonofdbn » Wed Jan 26, 2005 2:23 pm

For those not familiar with it, IRClone is software which allows you to program a Home Theater Master MX500 or MX600 remote control. It uses a USB infrared device, the IRClone-MX, to communicate with the remote control. I was just idly wondering whether anyone has had any success using the USB-UIRT instead of the IRClone-MX?

My apologies if this has been asked before, but a search failed to turn up anything.

sonofdbn,

I'm sure the answer is 'no', since the makers of IRClone specially made their own hardware.

With that said, at one time it was asked if I should pursue making special firmware for the USB-UIRT to work with IRClone (or write an IRclone equivalent), but there simply wasn't a lot of interest.
