Can the USB-UIRT handle this Code?

Postby stheo » Mon Jun 21, 2004 6:42 pm

Hello,

I am an owner of a UIRT2 and using it through Girder. All is fine except i can't control one device. UIRT2 simply can't learn the code directly.
Using a PPC with a CCF compatible program I was able to control it. When I tried to import the CCF codes to Girder, it complains with "too many burst pairs".
Below is a CCF sample. I've read that the USB-UIRT handles longer codes, so...
Can it handle this one? Should i upgrade?

Thanks a lot,
Theo

Code: Select all

Yes it can. This is one of the main differences between the two designs -- the USB-UIRT uses a more capable (more memory) micro as well as the USB interface runs at a much higher speed allowing for arbitrary IR 'streaming'

:D That's great!

I just ordered one... Can't wait to try it out!

I guess that the UIRT2 Command strings (in Girder) are compatible with the USB-UIRT design... or do i have to relearn all my existing commands?

Thanks Jon

UIRT2 'event' strings (the 12-digit numbers) *can* be compatible, but you will have to turn on an option in the preferences of the USB-UIRT ('Generate UIRTx-compatible UIR codes")
