Is there a way to get MCE to see the USBUIRT as an IR device and use it natively? When I do the MCE setup t does not see the USBUIRT as an IR device.

Willie,

I do not believe so. Microsoft is keeping the API for the IR emitters in MCE private. They have strategic relationships with Philips and others to produce hardware.
