Girder is ridiculous. I can't figure that out.

There used to be a program for Palm Pilots that would let you design a remote and then program each button by pointing the original remote at the Palm Pilot's IR port.

It was so easy and great!

Does anyone make a program like this for the PC?

Yes, I believe there are a few out there.

The most complex would be NetRemote, which allows you to emulate a Pronto...

Simpler ones are out there too, but you'll need to do some web searches for them.

Check out IRCommand2 at www.wdpsoftware.com. It supports USB-UIRT.

The IRcommand2 program is a 60 day limited demo version and it costs $49.95 + which I think is a little bit high for this type of program.
