Cheaper "play-only" unit?

Postby roschler » Sat Nov 19, 2005 2:29 pm

Hello Jon,

What did you ever decide on creating a cheaper "play-only" unit? That is, a unit that only sends IR codes and has no learning capatibilities?

I know for a fact you are missing out on a lot of sales because I continually get e-mails from users that want to use Robosapien Dance Machine, the SourceForge May 2005 Project Of The Month, but can't afford the full priced unit. They ask if they can use their Laptop (no that's IRDA as you know), some other cheaper unit from various parts of the globe, etc, etc.

Thanks.
Robert

There was some talk about this last year (including a unit specifically geared towards Robosapiens, etc.), but it never went anywhere. We never could assess how much interest there would be.
