Learned code much too long

Hi,

for most remote control codes UIRT works fine but I have some troubles with some of them (like codes from volume control buttons). Here USB UIRT learns a code with a length of about 1..2 seconds. That would be no problem but when I transmit such a code it has the same length. Especially for volume that is a big problem, no fine volume steps are possible, such codes always change the volume too much.

So how to solve this? Can I shorten the codes somehow?
