Hey,

I like to place the USB-UIRT inside my HTPC case. Is it possible to exchange the standard led with e.g. little white color one that is integrated in my case? Or can that damage the USB-UIRT? (I know that warranty is lost, when trying this).

If you're careful, you should be able to desolder the red LED and connect wires to your LED.

Sorry to necro this thread, but its still relevent.

Did this mod succeed?

Has the maker of the usb-uirt thought about different housings for the board. Perhaps in a 3.5 inch bay, with extra usb connectors on the front?
