Algorithm between Raw code and structured code

I try to code a ruby binding for USB-UIRT under Linux.
I use the Lirc code and I can receive Raw code for learning.
But with my remote the raw code have a length > 48 (=69) so I can't send directly the raw.
I search how transform the raw code in a structured code to send it.
I don't find in the forum.
Where I can find it ?
