Command 0x23 - is it implemented?

Postby chrisb » Sat Aug 28, 2004 3:23 pm

The copy of the protocol specification that I have notes that the command to set the receive mode to STRUCT (0x23) isn't implemented yet. I'm running firmware v5.9 and when I send the command sequence I receive a 0x21 (CMDOK). However the only data that I then get back is 0x82 which is the code for CMDERROR.

I'm running on FC2 and I'm playing around with the USB-UIRT.pm module that comes with Misterhouse.

While I'm at it, is there an uptodate version of the spec? I note that the same spec doesn't mention the SET_MODE_RAW (0x24) that I saw John refer to in a posting from 2003 (or maybe even 2002).

Argh - I actually meant 0x22 and not 0x23.

That'll teach me for not proofreading it before sending it.

Oh, and the document that I have says "Current firmware revision detailed: 5.0 (USB-UIRT Protocol rev 1.0)". I got it via a URL posted to one of these forums.

Chris,

The protocol spec is a bit out of date, I'll admit. The Learn Struct is still not implemented, since it is not all that useful. All learning is currently done by using the Raw learn mode and then processing the learned data on the host.
