usb uirt not recognised in any pc
Posted: Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:13 amI received my usbuirt after about 6 weeks of waiting. Thats not my major issue though. When I got it i plugged it into my pc but the pc (brand new) doesnt see any device. I have tried it on2 pc and multipleusb ports but no good.
Seeing as though it took so long to get in the first place, i decided to pull the guys out and try a get a quick fix.Maybe a dry solder joint??? Oh yeah, it rattled when I moved it aswell!
When I got the screws off i found the 2 power resistors blown and the transistor 'q1`' blown to smitherines. I dont want to wait another 6 weeks to send it back just to be told the warrantyis voide because of my peeking so I need the vales of the 2 resistors and the transistor so I can fix it myself. Can you please pm me the info as I paid good money for a useless item.
I can take some pics if need be. I have tried again and agin to contact jon via emailwith no response. I just read the thread on his spam filter so I thaught I wouldf try via the forum,
