Win7 hangs on reboot with USB-UIRT attached

Postby japalmatier » Wed Feb 17, 2010 4:53 pm

I have three machines - all win7 x64 and all of them using a USB-UIRT. Two of them are fine but the third hangs on reboot until I remove the USB-UIRT. Once the machine has rebooted I can plug the USB-UIRT back in and everything is dandy. I have been going nuts trying to figure it out. Anyone ever seen this behavior. Thanks!

Ran across something similar'

My unit started flaking out recently, so I decided to install the correct drivers, even though Win7's 'eHome Transceiver' had been working for over a year.

I have to say that I didn't uninstall the Win7 drivers before installing the usb-uirt drivers and was unable to boot after rebooting after the driver install.

Not sure if it was due to it being plugged in, as I simply did a restore.

I'm hoping that if I uninstall win7, then reboot, then reinstall usb-uirt's drivers, I'll be ok. I'll post again if so. BTW - 'eHome Tranceiver...' is listed under USB devices if installed. Also, the device shows up under devices and printers.
