lrnhelper stops responding and then crashes

Postby hec1152 » Sun Jan 10, 2010 4:45 am

I'm running WinXP with latest upgrades, etc on quad core Q6600 processor based system. Anytime I start lrnhelper and use any option in the File menu (e.g. Setting) or anything related to learn, the program stops responding and crashes. I've been unsuccessful in getting the program to do anything except startup. Any action after that causes it to stop responding. Selecting the X to close the program results in a crash. Is there anything that you'd suggest I look for or any information I could post that would help determine why lrnhelper won't work on my system?

Make sure to close any other program using the USB-UIRT

I had the same problem and was able to get it to run properly by closing EventGhost (Might have been Girder) before I ran it.

okay, I'll try that, but per the following post, I thought that having HomeSeer running and using lrnhelper to capture and "inject" the IR code into the USB-IRT plug-in for HS would have worked.
