irsend SET_TRANSMITTERS... failed

Postby mythic » Wed Jun 17, 2009 3:02 am

Hi,

I'm finally moving my mythtv installation to new hardware. This includes moving my beloved USB-UIRT. I first got it before it was properly supported in lirc, and now I've almost got it all set up: I can receive, and I can send on both blasters simultaneously.

Now I'm trying to send to individual blasters - as I was able to with my old myth box - and it fails.

~$ irsend set_transmitters 1
irsend: command failed: set_transmitters 1
irsend: hardware does not support multiple transmitters

lircd is version 0.8.4a

lsmod shows that lirc_dev, usb_serial, ftdi_sio are loaded.

/etc/lirc/hardware.conf has
TRANSMITTER_DRIVER="uirt2_raw"
TRANSMITTER_DEVICE="/dev/ttyUSB0"

Please help,
mythic

Any fix yet??

Hi... Any solutions for this post, I'm in the same boat.

-Lirc0.8.6
-Using the usb_uirt_raw lirc driver
-MythTV on Ubuntu

Receiving working great, sending working, but cant change transmitters with set_transmitters in irsend. "hardware does not support multiple transmitters" haunts my dreams! Or if there is another way to send lirc commands with my MythTV setup?? I was just gonna make a script to change channels in myth, but that doesnt work if i have no command line setup.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

When I didn't get any responses I started using a different device.
