USB-UIRT and multiple / repeat button presses.

I have the USB-UIRT setup but am having a problem with it. It have the remote setup to repeat after a second or 2 if I hold a button and that seems works fine (Most of the time). If I press the remote repeatedly (click click click) it missed a lot of presses and /or does multiple presses. The light on the USB-UIRT flashes with each press immediately but the software/driver doesn't do it's thing. I've tried Girder, Event Ghost and LM Kemapper to no avail. I also tried a few different remotes. The remotes seem to give different codes when learning even if I press the same button again. Any Ideas?

Remotes tried: MCE Remote/ Hauppauge remote/ Universal URC-R6 and the one that came with my TV
