USB-UIRT Forum

I am having trouble getting the zones feature to work. I plug in ear phones to see which channel it is transmitting on and I get nothing. I do have a UIRT with Z at the end so I know it should work. I have the zone commands setup properly as Z3 is blasting to the cable box, but when I try Z2 or Z1 to control the second box, nothing happens. Do I really need a stereo mini-plug to 2 mono plugs adapter or will a mono IR emitter work in the stereo plug and if so what channel by default is broadcasting Z2 or Z1? I am only trying to control 2 boxes any help would be appreciated. Also, if this info helps -- I have 1 USB-UIRT upstairs plugged into a box running a client sage this allows me remotely control the PC and the 2nd USB-UIRT is in the basement connected to the server and 2 cable boxes are there, Z3 controls 1 box and I need the external emitter to control the second.
