Yesterday I received my USBUIRT IR receiver
My first impression was that it did not respond well to my Logitech Harmony 885 remote control. However it became soon apparent that there was a pattern, I had to click twice to initiate an IR controlled action. The cause of this became clear soon as well, the IR is sending 2 alternating codes for each button, since only one of the two codes will be learned and assigned to a mediacenter action every remote control key needs to be hit twice in order to get mediacenter respond.
Ok so the cause of the problem is clear but how to solve this?
I simply tried to use a predefined Marantz DVD player in the Harmony 885 to control Mediacenter but it had te smae problem.
Is this a Harmony 885 specific issue or should I simply try a few more equipment choices untill I got one that does not use alternating codes?
