my USB-UIRT works once then dies everytime

I recently got a USB-UIRT and am trying to get it to work under 32 bit XP, eventually in key with XBMC and XP Media Center.

I've tried Girder and IR Server Suite (I prefer the latter) and it seems when I go to bind an input from my Harmony 880 remote, the USB-UIRT will receive the first signal I try to bind and that's all. The first one works fine, but it no longer receives anything else after that until I restart. It doesn't even blink the red receive led anymore. This repeatedly happens...anyone have any suggestions?

Well, I ended up trying Event Ghost and everything worked flawlessly. Go Event Ghost.
