FTD2XX.sys 3.0.0.4 caused BSoD on XP x64 with Beta 1 driver

Environment:
OS: Windows XP x64 with SP2
USB-UIRT driver version: Beta 1 for XP x64
FTD2XX.sys version: 3.0.0.4
Software in use with USB-UIRT: Remote 2 Key 0.5

A peculiar scenario caused FTD2XX.sys to result in a BSoD. This scenario is as follows:

The USB-UIRT device was plugged into a USB port in my monitor. My monitor has a loose power cable which sometimes disconnects if the monitor is moved, which it often is, in order to adjust its display angle. If the monitor's power cable disconnects, I presume that any USB devices plugged into it lose connectivity. This is what happened, and when this happened, I got a BSoD. Strangely, when the same scenario occurred later, a BSoD did not happen.

Looking at the error, can anything be said and/or done about it? Is an updated version of FTD2XX.sys available?

My guess is the USB-UIRT is losing connectivity and regaining USB connectivity intermittently. This 'hot-plugging' is likely causing grief for the driver. I will pass this onto the driver guys to see if they have any ideas.
