USB-UIRT-GBPVR-IRCommand2 Loss of focus

Postby davejohnson » Thu Feb 14, 2008 1:16 pm

Hardware Hauppauge 350PVR PCI Card
USB-UIRT ‘Blaster’ (Drivers ver. 1.4)
Set-Top Box (STB)

Software Shut Down Expert ver. 5.03 (SDE)
Slimm GBPVR ver. 1.6.2866.23823
GBPVR ver. 1.1.5
IRCommand2 (IRC)

OS Windows XP
At a set time SDE brings the computer out of hibernation.
Slimm GBPVR running in the system tray with recurring programmes set to record.
IRC running.
IRC sends a signal, at a set time, to switch on the set-top box.
GBPVR then changes channels on the set-top box and records the programme, changing channels if required for any subsequent programmes.
At the end of the day IRC sends a signal, at a set time, to switch off the STB.
SDE puts the computer into hibernate.
Everything functions as required.

OS Windows Vista Home Premium
1. Vista doesn’t support hibernation.
2. SDE would not function as I required but found a programme, “Auto Power-on & Shut-downâ€

Check out this thread elsewhere on the forum concerning an issue with GBPVR and the UIRT driver. IRCommand2 does NOT keep a local copy of the driver and should therefore be able to share the UIRT with other programs.

I don't have uuirtdrv.dll on my system so I can't change it. Hope it's something similar with another dll.

Correction I've just found uuirtdrv.dll in the USB-UIRT folder which is not in 'program files' but on my D:\ drive in a USB-UIRT folder. I'll see if I can effevt any changes.
