transmit failing only under linux

Postby rsramkee » Wed Feb 13, 2008 6:32 pm

I recently bought a usbuirt. My remote is a model for which there arent any ccf or lirc files.

Learning and transmitting is working perfectly with irnhelper, exe on Windows, When i use trydrv learning works fine. I get the same pronto hex codes that I get when i try learning under windows. But transmit does not seem to work on LInux alone.

When i choose the transmit options on trydrv (whether blocking or non-blocking) the LED glows indicating that the device is transmitting something, but the TV to which I am transmitting does not seem to receive it at all. It does not react to the transmission.

I even hardcoded the learnt pronto code in trydrv.c (by changing the gIRCode variable). But no use.

Does someone know why would this happen? I intend to write some code on linux using usb-uirt and fixing this problem is very important for me.

For the record,
OS: ubuntu 7.10.
USB-UIRT Info: FirmwareVer=5.9 ProtVer=1.1 FirmwareDate=3/26/2004
The learnt IR code with which I tested is the following:
0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0016 0015 0016 0016 0016 0015 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0016 0040 0015 0041 0015 0041 0016 0040 0016 0041 0015 0041 0016 0040 0016 0041 0015 0041 0016 0016 0015 0041 0016 0016 0015 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0015 0016 0016 0016 0016 0040 0016 0016 0016 0040 0015 0041 0015 0041 0016 0040 0016 0041 0015 05F1 0157 0057 0015 0E50

Any help is highly appreciated.
