Newbie needs help getting USB-UIRT to work in MisterHouse

Postby omaha64 » Wed Oct 10, 2007 8:03 pm

Hello,

I've managed to get MisterHouse to work with my X10 devices at home. Now I'm trying to get USB-UIRT to work to automate my home theatre. The problem I'm having now is that whenever I enable USB-UIRT in MisterHouse (mh.ini) and then plug in the device, MisterHouse would crash upon startup. The log seems to indicate that it could not talk to the driver, since it reports that the firmware version of USB-UIRT is 0.0. I'm hoping that someone in this forum who has successfully used USB-UIRT in a MisterHouse setup, could give me some leads on how to get this to work. Here are some additional information about my setup:

* Windows XP, SP2 with 1GB memory
* MisterHouse v2.103
* Setup USB-UIRT according to this guide: http://misterhouse.wikispaces.com/USB-UIRT. But the guide seems to refer to a driver named "uuirt.dll" which Jon said he has never heard of.

Another question I have is: What's the latest firmware version for USB-UIRT? A sticky in this forum seems to indicate that v5.4 is the latest; but from Googling, I found references to v5.9.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
