Unable to go into S3 standby

Postby spaceghost » Mon Jul 23, 2007 11:29 pm

I can't go into S3 standby with the usbuirt plugged in. I can go into S3 with it removed. I did the reg hack

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Usb]
"USBBIOSx"=dword:00000000

It didn't help. System tries to go to standby and comes right back up. I do not need usbuirt to wake system.

Other than that problem , I really like the usbuirt.

I am having the same issue. If I force my BIOS to S1-only, everything works fine, the computer goes into S1 standby and the USB-Uirt wakes it properly.

However if I try to use S3 mode (in BIOS) then the computer will not go into standby mode. Actually, it WILL, but it will instantly power back on, without even touching the remote. The USB-Uirt is the only usb device plugged in. I have used the USBBIOSx registry key and all, I've no idea how to get this working properly

I should point out that like the poster above, I can go into S3 standby with the Usb Uirt removed. I can also get into S3 standby if I disable the wakeup option in the USB-Uirt settings (in girder).
