usb-uirt zone trouble, please help

I'm using gbpvr and usbuirt0056 Z and a dual ir emmiter with the stereo 1/8th jack and two dish network 301 recievers, in gbpvr I have one box set to use Z1 and the other box to Z2 but only zone 1 works, the only way I can get the other box to work is if I set it to Z3 and blast the room, nothing on Z2, I don't know if it might be a software problem or a driver issue, im using uuirtdrv.dll ver#2.6.9.8, the files I'm using to change channels and zones look like this.....

I'm having difficulties with the zones as well.
I have the USBUIRT0038Z (so zones are supported) and two Smarthome stick-on IR emitters (with mono 1/8 male audio plugs)
As for the pronto coding, I send the same code to different zones without problem; The main blaster works perfectly, and if I have one mono emitter plugged in, that works as well.
However...
When I use a stereo->dual mono splitter to get each channel individually, the IR emitters don't work.

When I use stereo headphones, I can hear the different zones in each channel (and only the specified channel).

What's going on here? Is the splitter adding interference? Is there some extra information going on the other channel? Is sharing the same ground connection messing something up?

I've tried varying repeat counts from 1 to 50.

This would be fantastic if someone could help me out on this one...

Hi

I dont think your stereo to dual mono is a true dual mono...i think its only a single channel convertor...I have several of these.....Someone im sure on this forum a while back posted a link to a proper stereo to dual mono adaptor and i thought i saved the link buy cant find it.....try google ...Or buy a stereo lead a small box and 2 mono sockets and make your own...

I found the issue
That "book on tape adapter" outputs mono signals on stereo jacks, which is shorting out with my mono plugs. I can get them to emit by just barely resting the plug in the jack so it only makes the first connection.

So while people have been saying that this part will work:

Hi

I think to use the adaptor i linked to you need to use stereo plugs on your emitters ,one setup for L.H and the other for R.H.

Those adaptors you linked may work , but i have similar looking ones which have the mono inputs joined together....

Try stereo plugs on your emitters...
