Girder Command to Transmitt not working

Postby beach40 » Mon Nov 29, 2004 8:40 pm

Hello

I have Girder the latest version and just got my USBUIRT. I have a very simple test in that I have a girder command set up and go to the plugin for the "action" I then select USBUIRT and go into setting to then press the LEARN feature. It gets the signal and all that. I then press apply and test and the little LED blinks but nothing happens on my TV. I point the USBUIRT to the TV close and far and it blinks but nothing on the TV.....I must be missing something very simple...All I want to do is get it to learn the command and then I can get girder to transmit that IR code based on the logic that I write in Girder...any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Sounds like you're doing things right. Can you please post the following:

1. What appears in the 'Code1' and 'Code2' boxes after a Learn
2. What appears in the 'Carrier Frequency' after a Learn
3. What your 'Repeat' setting is set to.

Also, the brand of TV.

Thanks,

Jon

Well I plugged the USBUIRT into the built in USB port instead of the one in the USB2.0 PCMCIA card on my laptop....all works now.

...could be a very low supply voltage on the laptop USB power supply -- you could try hooking up the power supply that came with your PCMCIA card...
