1. Tried a Panasonic TV remote control; works fine.
2. Pioneer code is 430F105115F1
3. Firmware is 5.4, plug-in is 2.5.9
4. VERY weird. No IR signal appears to be recognised when I use "IR Debug" - the bar doesn't appear at all, and the red indicator on the unit does not light up. However, if I don't select "IR Debug" (i.e., at any other time except for Learn - see the end of this paragraph) the indicator light DOES light up when I press the button. This applies regardless of whether I press one of the "problem" keys on the remote or one of the working ones (see below). I've verified that IR Debug does work with the Panasonic remote. The same symptoms are displayed when I select "Learn" instead of "IR Debug" from the same screen.
5. REALLY weird. Girder responds very strangely to the Pioneer remote. a) although the red indicator lights up, the Girder green light (bottom right) does not always respond. b) in Learn mode in the "Evenstring" part, the captured code is not consistent. Sometimes pressing the same key consecutively does not generate the same string, sometimes it does. c) the code received by the unit as indicated in the centre part of the bottom of the Girder screen (next to the green light) is not always consistent with the string indicated in the Learn section. Again, I've verified that Girder behaviour is as expected when using the Panasonic remote.
So I'm guessing that somehow the Pioneer remote is causing the problem. Its model number (the remote) is CU-DV023, and it has an SR logo, which I thought indicated some sort of remote control IR standard.
