So I plugged the old one in instead and consistently get better codes. So far, messing around with my ZoomPlayer commands everything seems to be working, for now. I'll try and test it a bunch this weekend. I'll also do a few reboots to see if I get the original error I started this post with. Maybe my complete reinstall and format of the HD and OS wiped some glitch away.

Is there something as far as drivers are concerned that I need to have installed for the newer unit to work? I installed the most recent drivers and Girder plugin.

Drivers should not affect the IR sensitivity in any way.

Jon, just to give you an update, I ended up reinstalling my OS and formatting the HD, it needed to be done anyway. I could not get the new one you sent me to work well unless I was 6 inches away from the unit. I plugged the old one back in and have been using it ever since, with no errors or sensitivity issues. I can ship the one you sent back if you would email me the shipping address. Wife threw the box out. p.caulfield@att.net

Thanks!
