Problems with Outlaw 950 remote (Theater Master variant)

Postby Circe640 » Sat Nov 01, 2003 7:01 pm

I have been loading my remotes into HouseBot without a problem until I hit this one.

In the HouseBot(USB-URIT) learnig screen when I hit learn, the learning bar moves from 0% to 50% at the same time the signal bar moves from near 100% down to 50% and both bars stop at 50% and go no further resulting in no code learned

The Debug window shows the following

IR data received. Frequency = 38465
IR data received. Frequency = 38432
IR data received. Frequency = 38392
IR data received. Frequency = 38362
IR data received. Frequency = 38318
IR data received. Frequency = 38281
IR data received. Frequency = 38237
IR data received. Frequency = 38237
Stage 1 learned successfully. Data = 0000 006C 0022 0002 015A 00AC 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0040 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0040 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0040 0014 0707 015A 0056 0014 0E64
Beginning sampling for IR reception detection.

and nothing happens after this.

I have just purchased the USB-URIT a few weeks ago so I have to assume that firmware and drivers are current.

What I believe is happening here (I did not write the HouseBot plugin) is that HouseBot first *learns* the remote control code (using the short renage sensor -- which can learn all frequencies), and then in its 'second stage' listens for the IR code on the long-range sensor. When it gets to the second stage does the LED blink on the USB-UIRT when you press the button again? Does the LED ever blink when using this remote while *not* learning?
