I was thinking about getting either the USB-UIRT or the UIRT2, I would rather have the USB one but I would like to be able to wakeup from S3. I was looking on this board and it looks like it isn't possible with most boards, but then i saw this in my bios:
USB DEV Wake-Up From S3
When set to enabled this allows you to use a USB device to wake up the system from S3.
I have an Abit Is-10.
Does anyone know if this option will let me use the USB-UIRT and be able to Wakeup from S3?

It is difficult to verify whether this will indeed work. As many can attest, USB wake-up from S3 is a shot-in-the-dark possibility. Some boards work, some don't.

Well if it is any positive waves for you it works for me from S3 (Shuttle FN41 mainboard). You need to flash the IR-code to the USB-UIRT using the Girder plugin though. Since you have the option in your BIOS it may work for you.
Unfortunately none of my fans spin down for S3 so it doesn't do what I want (keep quiet) but if you want to save power it would be ok.
