IR Emitter jack not workin

Not sure if im doin something wrong, but i tried 2 IR emmiters that i had layin around and i cant get them to work.

Are there only some that will work with the USB-UIRT. Does the jack have to be mono\stereo?

Any ideas, is it possible that the input jack on the UIRT can be bad??

Some ways to troubleshoot this are:

First, can you get the IR transmissions working (can you control a TV/VCR/etc.) successfully with the built-in blasters? If so, then proceed to #2.

2) Plug a pair of headphones into the rear jack and transmit IR. You should hear some noises out of both channels of the headphones.

If these both are successful, you know that you are successfully trasnmitting good IR codes out of the rear jack.
