How to: 3 zones

When setting up the 3 zones using the ir emitters and the usb-uirt, do I have to use stereo splitter and two emitters or can I use a dual emitters such as this one:

I found this single one, but I'm trying to determine what I need in addition to the usb-uirt (I will be connecting three basic Direct tv receivers and Sagetv.)

Unfortunately, the 'dual emitter' cables will not support two zones. Instead, they basically have two emitters wired to a mono plug (only one of the two channels is present on the plug).

If you need zones, you'll have to split the stereo jack on the USB-UIRT out to two mono jacks or use a custom cable, etc.
