USBUIRT recognized, but not commanding Sage.

Postby bbarrus » Mon Sep 12, 2005 10:05 pm

I borrowed a friends USBUIRT this weekend to try out before I purchased one.
I've got Sage running on my HTPC. I plugged in the USBUIRT and loaded the drivers. I checked the 'use USBUIRT' box in Sage advanced setup, and walla it worked great. I needed to re-route the USBUIRT cable, so I unplugged the USBUIRT from the PC, when I plugged it back in it no longer functioned correctly. I removed the device using device manager, rebooted found new device and installed drivers, again it did not fuction.
The USBUIRT LED lights when seeing commands from remote, but will not pass commands to PC.
I hope I didnt somehow fry my buddies USBUIRT (I cant imagine i'ts not USB hot swappable).

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
I was up till 1:30 A.M. troubleshooting. :(

I don't believe you've done anything to hurt the unit -- however you may have confused Sage if you unplugged the unit while Sage was still running.

If you want to verify that the unit is still running OK, the easiest way is to request the lrnHelper app from support@usbuirt.com
