DirecTV D10 not changing

Postby imregh » Fri Aug 12, 2005 12:31 pm

I have successfully trained the USB UIRT using BeyondTV. When I run the channel changing test, nothing happens. The red light lights up, but there is no indication the receiver is receiving anything. I have the red light pointed right at the infrared receiver. The D10 remote control does work. I have the receiver box hooked up to a regular TV as well as BeyondTV, so I can see the effect of a channel change, and the receiver does not seem to receive even a single digit. Any suggestions?

D10 Problems

Postby ggayowsky » Fri Sep 16, 2005 9:05 pm

I have a D10-300 bought through SnapStream. It worked first try with settings: 3 digits, 100mS space, 1 try, use Enter. Fear not.

I have the UIRT taped point blank to the front of the reciever and covered with a cloth to keep it from tuning my second box which I use for live TV.

Update: Oct 21st, 2005: DirecTV pushed an upgrade to my boxes. The hardware port (behind the black sticker) now works. As far as I can tell all D10's (100, 200, and 300's) can use the same generic serial control. You now have a choice of using either the USB-UIRT or a serial cable.
