I am trying to setup a multimedia room and needed a replacement IR Blaster that allows learning a variety of remote's codes and playing them back from a control PC. I purchased the USB-UIRT in the hopes that I that this could replace a serial version we are now using.
Can anyone point me a an example Windows application showing how to learn and then send the learned commands?

Choosing the right app depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Many use Girder since it serves as a general-purpose Windows automation tool.

Other alternatives are using a simple command-line app and writing your own scripts or writing your own program if you're a programmer.
