USB-UIRT and Xantech Connecting Block
Posted: Sat Jun 21, 2008 5:08 pmI want to be able to feed the output from my USB-UIRT to my Xantech connecting block (791-44). I have seen a few posts about people having problems with this but was unable to find an answer that helped me out. I tried running the IR out on the USB-UIRT to the block's 1/8 inch "IR RCVR" input jack. This did not work, so then I tried stripping the cable and plugging the tip lead into the "IR IN" terminal and the sleeve lead into the "GND" terminal. This still did not work.
Also, when I say that it does not work, I mean that the IR Activity light on the Xantech block lights up, but no IR comands are sent out. I tried hooking up headphones to the IR out jacks on the block and I could not hear anything.
Does anyone know anything that could help me out?
