USB_UIRT on Ubuntu Linux control cable box SA4240HDC

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody has been able to get the USB_UIRT installed and configured for controlling a Scientific Atlanta 4240HDC cable box (Cox Cable Arizona).

I have got MythTV up and running using a Hauppauge pVR250 card (analogue), taking in the coax cable straight from the wall. MythTV works great, everything records correctly - no complaints.

I have just changed my cable box for an HD box, and I am looking for guidance on setting up my USB_UIRT with my cable box for changing channels.

Please note that I can either use the older Black Hauppauge remote, or I also have an ATI remote wonder remote that I can also use, if need be.

Ultimately I am looking to get my MythTV to change channels on the cable box automatically, with no manual input by me.

I have been struggling with this for some time now, and am on the brink of switching back to windows.

Can anybody help me at all? I really like my Linux box, but things just work in windows.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
