USB-UIRT DRIVER INSTALLATION ON VISTA ULTIMATE

I can not successfully install the drivers on a VISTA ULTIMATE system.

I downloaded driver 1.4. Unzip the file. Plugged the USB-UIRT into the system and browsed to the extracted files. However the result is I get an error message saying the files do not contain the drivers for my hardwre.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated?

I am having the same problem. I believe the 64 bit vista will only install signed drivers. If I run the FTDIUNIN.EXE program I get an error message that file FTDIUN2K.INI is missing

Hi, I've only just ordered my UIRT but you can force Vista x64 to install unisgned drivers by editing some information in the boot file.

I used BCEDIT which has an easy point and click interface to overide x64 driver signings.

I've been able to install other 3rd party drivers - some have worked and some have'nt. It's got to be worth the try!

I'll update when my unit arrives. Failing that I can resort to my XP install.

I got it today , and it doesnt work in Vista Ultimate.

Works fine in XP though - so I guess I'll be using that!

Same here :(

I was really looking forward to using this device on my new Vista Ultimate x64 machine.

I hope there are drivers soon.

I have the Windows XP x64 drivers, but they do not work with Vista x64

I have disabled Vista Driver Signing and unzipped the drivers to a temp location, when I attempt to install the drivers I am still getting an error.

TIA
Jim
