No Remote, can I get codes elsewhere?

Postby Wheemer » Thu Feb 10, 2005 12:36 am

I've got a JVC vcr that I lost the remote for. I would like to know if I can get it to work with the USB-Uirt with having the remote to program?

Thanks for your help!

Hi!

You don't even have a universal remote that you could program to use JVC vcr codes?

Have a nice day!

If you can find a Pronto CCF file for your JVC at www.remotecentral.com, you can use that.

OK, so I've got the pronto file for my vcr. I'm using the USB-Uirt with Sage tv, so I have to create the appropriate .ir file.

I've attempted to open this pronto file I've downloaded with notepad, but it's not text based.

Any help from here is great. And unfortunately I don't have a universal remote to program. I could purchase one for this task, but I had hoped I could find a way around having to do that.

thank you!

This site probably has the actual raw codes.

Got it works perfectly, thanks guys. Saved me a little hassle and money.

BTW, was anyone else surprised by how small the USB-Uirt was? I had seen many pictures, but for some reason it looked a lot bigger...

This is an amazing device and works very well, can't wait to get three zone support going.
