Do I Need Adjustable Signal Strength IR Emitter for Dish Net

Do I need a mini-IR-emitter that has adjustable signal strength capability if I want to use it with USB-UIRT to control Dish Network receivers? Can I simply use one of those non-adjustable version? Can we use software to adjust the signal strength from USB-UIRT (such as a device driver or something like that)?

This is not only a matter of money, but also I prefer to have one less thing to worry about if I can do without the adjustability.

I appreciate any info regarding this issue.

I cannot see why you would need an adjustable version...!

Thanks.

Great! This means I can save my money and the trouble of adjusting the signal strength. I will go for the simple route and get the non-adjustable version of mini-IR-emitters.

Thanks.
