Postby mpegripper » Mon Jan 24, 2005 9:30 pm

i can't the usb-uirt to learn the codes for my samsung box. I'm doing the programming through sagetv and it tells me to press and hold 0, but then says their was an error

i have the usb-uirt installed and the drivers installed
and the led blinks on the usb-uirt when i press the 0 on my remote, unless i'm in the state where i'm trying to program it

Thanks

mpegripper,

When in 'learn' mode, the USB-UIRT uses a different IR sensor (a special sensor for learning) which requires that you hold your remote approximately 3 inches from the face of the USB-UIRT aimed directly at the USB-UIRT ideally at a spot just to the left of the USB-UIRT's red LED.

If you still don't have any luck, please email support@usbuirt.com and I'll email you a test app which you can use to get the hang of the learn process.
